Very friendly, helpful, and clearly very skilled across the whole team. Only dentist I have ever had who bothered to do regular oral cancer screenings as part of a regular check up, which is very important. Their in house membership for those of us who don't have dental insurance makes it very affordable to still have regular maintenance care without breaking the bank.

The staff were amazing and professional. They made me feel at ease and comfortable while getting my cleaning done. I appreciated being walked through everything that was going to happen today. Recommend for anyone needing a dentist

Carol C Lee

Dr. Aiken and unny were absolutely great. Professional but very caring and accommodating. Dr. Aiken explained many things to me and took up a lot of time. Sunny made me comfortable from the beginning and made me feel right at home, This is a wonderful dentist's office and I will definitely return. Quite exceptional.

Emergency Dental Services Available

Dental emergencies are all unique from each other. You could be managing a consistent toothache that continues to get worse, or you may have gotten hit in the face and chipped a tooth. No matter the cause of your issue, Dr. Aiken and his team can provide several different services to treat your dental emergency and alleviate your pain.

The services we provide include:

  • Toothache Relief - Most patients who have come in have ignored the early signs of a toothache. This can lead to more problematic situations, as toothaches are usually a sign that there is a larger issue that needs attention. Over-the-counter medications can help, but only as a temporary option. To have the problem addressed permanently, you'll need to seek a professional who can provide instant relief.
  • Jaw Swelling Reduction - Your dental health includes more than just your teeth and gums. Your jawbone and surrounding tissue are also crucial for supporting your teeth. If you notice swelling in your jaw, this could mean an infection is spreading throughout your jawbone and into neighboring tissue. It is important that a professional finds and treats the cause of the infection to preserve your oral health.
  • Gum Pain - Dr. Aiken and his team are prepared to assist patients who are struggling with gum pain. Gum pain is often an indication that something is going on in the deeper tissue of the gums. We will help you find the cause of the pain and provide a solution to relieve it.
  • Root Canals - Root canals can be used to save teeth that are severely decayed or damaged. For many patients, the tooth in question previously needed a filling or crown. Root canals work to restore the connection between your tooth and root, which provides pain relief and preserves your tooth. Root canals also prevent the need for extraction.
  • Avulsed and Damaged Tooth Care - Also called a “knockout,” this situation is typically caused by accidents such as auto accidents or sports injuries. After a tooth is avulsed, you should seek care as soon as possible so that a dentist can examine the area to prevent further damage. In some cases, the knocked-out tooth can be restored and saved. Other dental damage can involve chips, cracks, or breaks, and all require a professional examination to determine the next best step.
  • Extractions - If one or more of your teeth are severely damaged or decayed, an infection could spread throughout your mouth. In this case, you might want to consider fully extracting the tooth. Extractions help protect your surrounding teeth from infection and can provide instant pain relief.
  • Filling and Crown Repair - Your fillings and crowns are designed to protect teeth that have required dental work in the past. While these are made to fit your teeth, they can become loose over time and fall out. It is important to have crowns and fillings repaired or replaced as soon as possible to prevent further damage to your teeth.

Avoiding Dental Emergencies

Dealing with dental emergencies can be overwhelming. While not all emergencies are preventable, many can be by practicing proper dental care. You can do this from the comfort of your home. Maintaining a routine of brushing and flossing can help protect your teeth and gums from damage.

You should also schedule regular six-month appointments with us at Inverness Smiles. This will allow our staff to monitor your oral health and provide high-quality cleaning services. With regular visits, Dr. Aiken can prevent small issues from becoming extensive.
