Dr Slaten is absolutely wonderful. I was terrified of getting an upper denture but he advised me of everything he was doing and promised the procedure (1st removing 7 teeth) would be painless during that procedure. And it was!!! That was my nightmare and he squashed it!!! Thank you to Dr Slaten!!! I will recommend you to everyone! ;) Morgan and the Assistant were also kind and very caring and that’s very important to me!

Today was my first visit and I was not disappointed. I appreciated the Professional, caring atmosphere expressed by all Staff. Beginning at the front desk, followed by the Assistant, Stacey, who is very pleasant and reassuring, as well as Dr. Ryan Slaten who took time to listen to my dental concerns. Thank you for your patience.

Nothing, Chardon Dental Art was amazing and quick. When using a emergency dental program they incorrectly scheduled an appointment when there was no doctor available. When I contacted Chardon Dental they let me know immediately and was able to assist me the same day due to my pain level. Wonderful experience and great people

Dental Emergencies Can Vary

Whenever you're facing a dental emergency in Chardon, you can rely on Chardon Dental Arts 2, LLC for prompt care. Every dental emergency is different; they can come in a number of different forms. Some dental emergencies that we treat are:

  • Severe toothaches - When you experience severe pain or discomfort in your teeth, this typically indicates an underlying issue. If you have a severe toothache, don't wait to contact Chardon Dental Arts 2, LLC for emergency dental services. We'll perform a careful examination to identify the source of your pain. That way, our expert team will be able to successfully treat the problem at its source.
  • Severe gum pain - Severe pain or discomfort in the gums requires emergency treatment. Pain in the gum's soft tissue often means there's an underlying issue that needs to be identified and treated. If left unaddressed, it's possible for gum issues to grow more serious, over time.
  • Jaw pain - Chardon Dental Arts 2, LLC will examine and treat patients experiencing pain or swelling in their jaw. This is sometimes caused by an infection in the bone or tissue beneath your teeth, which can be serious and requires urgent treatment. Pain and swelling of the jaw can also result from prior trauma.
  • Damaged filling - Losing a dental filling is painful. Additionally, this can render your damaged tooth more prone to decaying. Emergency dental care is needed to repair or replace fillings in a timely manner.
  • Damaged crowns - Crowns are intended to cover existing teeth, creating a better chewing surface. However, crowns can become damaged or cracked; they can even be lost. In these cases, reach out to Chardon Dental Arts 2, LLC for emergency crown repair or replacement services.
  • Dental extractions - If you're dealing with excessive tooth pain due to severe decay, Chardon Dental Arts 2, LLC can provide extractions. Sometimes, an extraction will be the most effective way to alleviate pain and protect the surrounding teeth from decay.
  • Emergency root canals - An emergency root canal can be performed in instances of advanced decay, allowing the issue to be treated without an extraction. This treatment can be used to alleviate severe oral pain and stop infection in its tracks. To keep the rest of your teeth protected from decay, you can turn to Chardon Dental Arts 2, LLC for root canal therapy.
  • Emergency repair services - Sometimes, injuries can lead to our teeth becoming damaged. Teeth can be chipped, broken, or cracked; in other cases, teeth can be knocked out of the mouth. Emergency repair by Chardon Dental Arts 2, LLC can help you restore the health of your mouth after an injury.

It's normal for children to face dental accidents, which often require emergency care. Chardon Dental Arts works with pediatric patients, providing children with a positive, comfortable atmosphere. Thanks to our experience, we're skilled at working with pediatric patients for emergency care.

We also understand that some patients, whether they are children or adults, can benefit from nitrous oxide sedation during their emergency treatment. We want you to be comfortable as we work to repair your teeth. If you're interested in sedation, be sure to let the practitioners at Chardon Dental Arts know as soon as possible.

You Can Prevent Dental Emergencies

Not all dental emergencies are preventable, but many of them are. By taking good care of your teeth before a problem develops, it's possible to reduce your risk of emergencies.

Before all else, remember to receive dental cleanings every six months. Regularly seeing a dentist is one of the most essential parts of oral health. Your dentist will catch any changes in your teeth early on, allowing them to monitor anything concerning. If there's damage, the dentist can catch this early on. With early intervention, there isn't any need for emergency care down the line.

If you play contact sports, you should be protecting your teeth with a custom-fit mouth guard. It isn't uncommon for individuals to receive blows to the jaw or mouth during these activities. Without a guard, this can result in damaged or knocked out teeth.
