Dental Emergencies We Handle

Dr. Morgan and her staff handle a variety of dental emergencies, including:

  • Toothaches - The most common reason for oral pain, toothaches can be a symptom of several serious dental problems, ranging from broken fillings or cavities to gum disease, severe nerve damage, and potentially deadly infections. Although mild discomfort can be easy to dismiss, it will inevitably turn into debilitating pain that can impact nearly every aspect of your life. Our team will perform an in-depth examination of your mouth to determine the extent of the damage, diagnose the underlying issue, and develop a treatment plan to alleviate your symptoms and restore your oral health.
  • Traumatic injuries - Car accidents, workplace injuries, sports games, and falls can cause complex trauma to the teeth, surrounding bones and tissues, or facial bones and nerves. If you experience soft tissue damage to the tissues in and around your oral cavity, a fractured or dislocated jaw, or a tooth that has become chipped, cracked, broken, dislodged, or knocked out, this is a dental emergency that requires immediate medical attention. Based on the severity of the damage, our team can perform a tooth restoration, tooth extraction, or oral surgery to treat the affected area and relieve your pain.
  • Tooth repair and restoration - If you have a damaged or decayed tooth, we offer several types of reparative and restorative treatments to return functionality and revive your smile. Amalgam and composite fillings, inlays, and onlays can be used for minor to moderate damage, while teeth with more extensive damage can be topped with custom-fabricated crowns to strengthen them and recreate a natural appearance. When the pulp inside the tooth has decayed or become infected, we can perform a root canal procedure to save the tooth by removing the pulp, cleaning the area, sealing it, and crowning it.
  • Tooth replacement - Missing teeth or teeth that require extraction can be replaced with bridgework, dentures, or dental implants. A fixed bridge is a permanent dental appliance that involves crowning the teeth surrounding the open space to support artificial teeth. Digital impression technology allows us to create custom, removable dentures to replace a few lost teeth or the entire set of teeth on the upper or lower jaw. Installing dental implants is the most advanced method for tooth replacement. We use digital radiography to map and plan the procedure, then anchor titanium posts to the jawbone and top with crowns or bridgework for teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth.
  • Conditions affecting the oral cavity - Our team can diagnose and treat multiple conditions that affect the oral cavity, including malocclusion, bruxism, recurrent mouth ulcers, periodontal disease, and temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ).

We also offer oral exams, dental cleaning, preventative services, oral cancer screening, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, orthodontics, ClearCorrect® and Invisalign® invisible braces, pediatric dentistry, sleep apnea treatment, sports mouth guards, night guards, and cosmetic dentistry.
