I really appreciated the dentist’s ability to anticipate any anxieties I may have about my treatment plan and her ability to address those anxieties in a way that comforted me. That was priceless. I also appreciated her willingness to explain what sensations I would feel in my mouth before each step of this major procedure so that I would know that what I was feeling was normal along the way. Knowing what was going to happen in advance helped to prevent me from assuming the worst. She gained my trust really easily.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I haven't been to the dentist in several years so I was pretty nervous coming in for the first time, but the staff here immediately put me at ease. They walked me through everything I would need and made sure to answer any questions I had. I can't recommend them enough!

Amazing service from both the dentist and this. It was a true emergency that was resolved quick enough to get me in a dentist office on a Saturday!

We Offer a Variety of Emergency Dental Services

Many kinds of dental emergencies have to be treated as soon as possible to avoid them becoming larger issues. It will help you prepare for the worst if you can familiarize yourself with some of the dental emergencies that you might encounter. Whether you have had an injury to your mouth, or you are dealing with a painful toothache, Dr. Daboul and his professional team of dental care specialists will be able to help you receive the care you need and be rid of your dental problem as quickly as possible.

Our team is trained to provide you with the following emergency dental services:

  • Toothache pain relief. Hundreds of patients every year go into the dentist for toothaches. Though toothaches may seem simple, over time they can become more painful or even become problems that require a more invasive and expensive procedure. Pain medication like Tylenol and ibuprofen may be able to provide you with temporary pain relief but cannot do anything to solve the root of the problem. If you are experiencing consistent aching in your mouth, you may need to schedule an appointment. You can rely on our team to find the root of the problem and solve it for the long term.
  • Jaw swelling reduction. Many people do not realize that dental health involves more than just a person's teeth and gums. The jawbone also serves as an important support system for your dental health. If you are experiencing swelling in or near your jawbone, this may be a sign of an infection that could spread and become an even larger problem. Any jaw swelling you are experiencing should be examined by a professional as quickly as possible and treated in order to maintain healthy teeth and avoid infection.
  • Gum pain. At North Oaks Dental, we will be able to provide solutions for gum pain as well. There can be signs in a patient experiencing gum pain that may denote certain kinds of infections in the mouth. Contact our dental office and tell us about any gum pain you are experiencing, and we will schedule an appointment for you as soon as we can.
  • Root canals. A root canal is a kind of dental procedure that restores the connection between a tooth and its root in the jawbone. This surgery is meant to help a patient who is enduring massive tooth pain, and also help them avoid the pains of tooth extraction. Our trained dental care team is ready to help you through the procedure and make sure to fix the problem for the foreseeable future.
  • Avulsed and damaged tooth care. A “knockout” refers to an injury that has resulted in a tooth being forcibly extracted. A variety of procedures exist to help those who have had an injury to their mouth and had a tooth knocked out. Immediately after receiving an injury to the mouth, you should schedule an appointment. Damages to the mouth and teeth can often cause further problems, sometimes even causing cracks to appear in the jawbone. Each patient is different, but depending on the severity of the injury, sometimes a knocked-out tooth can be saved if you can get into the dentist's office quickly.
  • Extractions. Damaged and diseased teeth can sneakily begin to spread infection to your other teeth or into the jawbone. Decayed and damaged teeth need to be removed as quickly as possible to avoid larger infections. Dr. Daboul and his team will be able to remove a bad tooth and quickly relieve you of the intense pain that comes with these dental issues.
  • Crown and filling emergency services. During many dental procedures, a dentist will insert a filling or crown into a fixed tooth to make sure that it stays fixed. However, fillings and crowns can eventually fall out of your mouth. If one of yours falls out, be sure to schedule an appointment quickly so that you can have it returned to where it needs to be and maintain your dental health. Failure to have a crown or filling replaced soon after can often cause damage to that tooth and even your other surrounding teeth.

Avoiding Dental Emergencies

Emergencies are often overwhelming, and dental emergencies can be stressful, expensive, and painful on top of that. To avoid having to go through a dental emergency, brush and floss your teeth daily. If you have regularly scheduled dental appointments every six months with North Oaks Dental and Dr. Daboul, you can make sure that minor issues can be found and fixed before they become bigger problems in need of more invasive procedures.
