Iris P.

I unfortunately had a scooter accident in July 2023 where I broke both my front teeth in half and desperately needed to find an emergency dentist; Bliss Dental was able to accommodate me on short notice and see me the following morning. Dr. Patel was able to see me immediately and spent a long time with me (3+ hours the first visit) cleaning out my teeth and getting me temporary crowns. I returned a few times afterwards to get root canals + permanent crowns and had a great experience; my end result looked really natural/good. It's been about 6-7 months after I've gotten my crowns and have had 0 issues; they feel great and I was able to regain full bite strength in them soon. Dr. Patel is very kind and patient and does great work; the ladies who work the front desk are extremely nice and all of the hygienists/assistants were very kind as well. I'd definitely recommend coming to Bliss Dental!

This place is excellent - the team really cares! From the moment I stepped into their office, they were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. I had a couple clarifying questions about the cost of my visit because my insurance was unclear about how much they would contribute. The lovely team at the front desk made many calls to my insurance provider to help me sort everything out, which went into my appointment time. But Bliss Dental's team was kind and patient the whole time, offering me water and not making me feel rushed to decide whether or not to move forward with my visit. The team was resilient, respectful in how they approached the situation, and worked so well together to find a solution. They also gave me other options if I didn't want to go through insurance and took the time to explain things so that I was able to understand. I ended up being seen for a teeth cleaning and I'm so glad I did! Each interaction I had with their team was pleasant and warm. They are competent, enjoy what they do, and they make you feel comfortable. I appreciate all that they did for me beyond excellent dental services, it just goes to show how much they care for their patients.

Emergency Dental Services Available

Our dental health impacts numerous aspects of our lives. Poor dental health can make it difficult to enjoy a variety of foods, drink hot or cold beverages, speak clearly, or smile confidently. No matter your teeth' condition, we can provide the proper care to restore your dental health. Dr. Shahabi and her team use the latest technology and techniques to provide top-of-the-line dental care.

Our Services Include:

  • Filling Repair and Replacement - Dental providers use fillings to protect teeth from damage. Fillings are placed on teeth that have needed work, usually due to cavities or similar damage. Depending on the age and the dental provider, fillings can be made with various materials. Over time, it is customary to need some of these materials replaced. Waiting too long can result in further dental issues. Call us if you've noticed a filling becoming loose or falling out completely.
  • Jaw Swelling Relief - Dental health issues that are left untreated can cause infections within the mouth. This is often experienced as an unpleasant taste or smell. Another common sign of infection is swelling along the jaw. This is a sign that there is an issue deep in the tissue, within the muscles, or even along the bone. You need a dental provider to find the source of the infection to ensure long-term treatment.
  • Gum Discomfort - Your gums are vital to your overall dental health. Gum issues can present themselves through discoloration, bleeding, or discomfort. Gum discomfort often indicates a larger dental concern deep within the tissue. Proper assessment and treatment are the best relief options.
  • Toothache Discomfort- If you experience a sudden, sharp pain that feels like it is coming from one targeted location, you need to see a dental professional. A toothache can feel minor at first but, over time, will become more painful. Toothaches are often just a symptom of a larger issue, which is why you will benefit best from early assessment.
  • Extractions - Severe decay or damage to a tooth can become an infection risk and is likely to cause pain. In some instances, the best option is to remove the tooth completely. This helps to protect the health of existing teeth and provides immediate pain relief.
  • Root Canal Therapy- A root canal is designed to help restore a tooth at risk of a future extraction but is still healthy enough to benefit from a different treatment option. A root canal restores the connection between the root and the tooth, helping to keep the tooth alive. Often, a crown may be placed on the tooth to protect any exposed roots and prevent further damage.
  • Tooth Damage Restoration- Our teeth are designed to withstand daily wear and tear. However, damage and decay can weaken the teeth, making them more susceptible to damage. A hard blow to the face, mouth, or jaw can also cause damage, such as chips, cracks, breaks, or even complete knockouts. Any physical damage to your teeth should be examined by a professional. This ensures that there is no further damage to the root or surrounding tissue and that further damage can be prevented.

Preventing the Need for Emergency Dental Care

Accidents happen and, unfortunately, can be unavoidable. However, most dental emergencies are caused by preventable decay. We encourage all our patients to take preventive measures to keep their teeth and gums healthy. This involves brushing and flossing twice daily, especially after eating or drinking. Committing to regular dental exams at least twice a year would be best. This provides deep cleaning and creates a track record of your dental health, allowing us to anticipate dental concerns before they can worsen.
