We are Available for Emergency Dental Service

We are no strangers to handling and treating pressing dental emergencies. We have seen everything from unrelenting toothaches to serious injuries from sports or recreational falls. Sometimes an unexpected blow to the face can cause the need for immediate dental care. Whatever the reason for your call, Dr. Zadov and her team can get you taken care of and on the road to pain relief and recovery.

Our dental services include:

  • Toothache relief. Anyone who's ever experienced a toothache knows just how debilitating it can be to deal with never-ending mouth pain. Using over-the-counter treatments will not permanently solve the nagging problem and will only provide short-term relief. For real treatment, you will have to visit a dentist to have your tooth assessed.
  • Jaw swelling reduction. To have a healthy mouth, your teeth, tongue, gums, and jaw need to be infection-free and functioning properly. If you have any swelling present in or around your jawbone, you may have an infection that needs immediate treatment. Please schedule an appointment with someone in our office as soon as you notice jaw discomfort.
  • Gum pain. Healthy gums are key to a healthy smile, so your gums need to be checked if there is any pain or sensitivity being experienced. We will figure out why you are having gum pain and address the root cause of the issue.
  • Root canals. A root canal can be the best course of action to save teeth when they are extremely damaged or decaying. The procedure restores the diminished connection between teeth and gums to help preserve your tooth so that you won't have to have that particular tooth removed.
  • Damaged and avulsed tooth care. Teeth that have been knocked out are known in the dental world as avulsed teeth. Usually caused by injury or accident, an avulsed tooth requires a dental checkup to make sure no more extensive damage has been done. There are instances where a knocked-out tooth can be saved, but a dentist must make that determination. Other severe tooth damage like cracks or chips should be inspected immediately so that the tooth (or teeth) in question can be properly repaired.
  • Extractions. When a root canal is not an option, or teeth are not able to be saved once damaged, then the next best solution for dental health is to have an extraction. Full removal of teeth that could cause other dental problems is the only way to prevent other complications from arising. You will feel immediate pain relief once an unsavable tooth has been completely removed.
  • Crowns and filling repairs. Both fillings and crowns serve as protective barriers for teeth that have already needed dental work. They are made to custom fit your teeth and require inspection at every dental appointment to make sure they are in good condition. Sometimes fillings and crowns can loosen or fall out, so you want to have them checked regularly.

Helping Prevent Dental Emergencies

Dental emergencies are not 100% avoidable, but there are actionable steps you can take to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy. Practicing good daily dental hygiene is best for maintaining a healthy mouth. Make sure you are brushing your teeth and flossing daily. Committing to taking your oral health seriously pays off.

We also recommend making (and keeping) regular dental appointments every six months. Having your dentist check your teeth frequently can keep minor issues from growing into major ones. Regular professional cleaning at your dentist's office can make sure your dental emergencies are few and far between.
