In the process of reopening so a minor rough spot or two but no big deal. The office staff was professional and welcoming! Dr Brian K was very impressive. Honest opinions, options, priorities- he shared them all with me. I really felt like my care was his number on goal. I’ve seen five dentists in two years. I’d drive a long way to continue to see him. I get a crown next week so I’ll keep you posted on that procedure.

This was my first visit to Monarch Dental in Corinth, TX and it went REALLY well. Brianna at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. Irina, the dental assistant was very professional and pleasant. Dr. Miyapuram took his time as we went over my x-rays together and his recommendations after the oral exam and cleaning (which he did personally!). I so appreciate his openness to discussing my all-natural oral health plan and honoring my decision to use only organic techniques and products (Trace Minerals PLUS+, Juice Plus, Thieves toothpaste, oil pulling, etc.).

Emergency Services Performed at Monarch Dental-Corinth

Dental emergencies come in all shapes and sizes. Most emergencies happen from overlooked problems that have gotten worse in time, but many can also happen suddenly, usually caused by an accident. Regardless of how long you've been dealing with your dental issue, we will provide relief as quickly as possible. Our services include:

  • Treatment of toothaches. Toothaches can make simple pleasures like enjoying a cold glass of ice water unbearable. This pain is often caused by a deeper issue that will get worse when left untreated.
  • Filling repair. If a filling becomes loose or falls out completely, you'll notice a sharp increase in pain that can interfere with your ability to eat or drink. A filling can become loose or fall out due to the material it was created with, or because the tooth has decayed further and can no longer support the filling. It is important to have this repaired to prevent further issues.
  • Assessing jaw swelling. Swelling is often a warning sign that something is going wrong within your body. With the jaw specifically, this is often caused by an infection that is spreading through the tissue and along the jawbone that's necessary for supporting your teeth. Dr. Parks will be able to determine the cause of infection and prescribe the right care options to ensure the infection is completely gone.
  • Root canal therapy. Most teeth that experience damage or decay end up with a filling or crown. If these items fall out repeatedly, or if a tooth continues to decay, a root canal may need to be performed to save the natural tooth.
  • Crown repair. If a crown becomes loose or falls out, this can often be a clear sign of further decay since a crown is custom-fitted to your tooth. A crown must be repaired or replaced as quickly as possible.
  • Extractions. In some situations, it becomes necessary to fully remove a tooth or teeth to protect the surrounding teeth from infection. This is usually due to damage or decay that is so severe, there is little chance of saving the natural tooth.
  • Emergency tooth repair. Accidents can be the root cause of many emergency dental services. High contact sports, a bad fall, or an auto accident can all contribute to damage of the face, mouth, or jaw. This can cause teeth to become chipped, cracked, broken, or even fully knocked out. Each of these situations is unique, making immediate care all the more important.
  • Gum pain. Any discoloration, pain, or tenderness of your gums can be a symptom of a larger issue deep within the gum tissue. Dr. Parks will be able to diagnose what is causing the pain and what the best method of treatment might be.

Preemptive Measures Against Emergency Services

At Monarch Dental-Corinth, we understand that no one wants to have to come in for emergency services. While we can't provide a means to completely avoid these circumstances from happening, we can suggest tips that can help avoid most of the causes. One tip is daily brushing and flossing at home. This helps you become more familiar with your teeth and gums, helping you notice any changes that could become a concern if left untreated.

Another tip we suggest is scheduling regular six-month appointments with our office. Regular appointments help Dr. Parks create a track record of your dental health. Any changes will be spotted quickly, helping you avoid the need for emergency care.
