Services Available for Dental Emergencies:

  • Care for Damaged and Avulsed Teeth. Accidents can happen to anyone at any time. You may take a fall and lose a tooth or be involved in a sports accident that knocks a tooth out. In these instances, it is best to have the socket area examined by a professional so they can provide treatment, restore the tooth if possible, and prevent any other damage.
  • Root Canals. This is a treatment option for teeth that have been damaged or have begun to decay and is a way to reconnect the root to the tooth. The infected tissue in the root of a tooth is removed and filled in, which can alleviate pain, improve oral health, and help you avoid extractions in the future.
  • Non-Surgical Extraction is used when a tooth has been broken or is diseased and has to be removed. Non-surgical extraction is often simpler and more useful for individuals who have a single tooth that is damaged to help keep the other teeth healthy.

  • Surgical Extraction is for more severe cases of extraction, potentially when multiple teeth need to be removed. These procedures may require anesthesia and will likely have a longer recovery time.
  • Crowns. These are a tool used as a way to protect teeth that are decayed, worn down, or otherwise damaged. A crown made of metal, porcelain, or resin will be placed on top of the tooth as a way to shield it and prevent further damage. If it is well cared for, then a crown can last for as long as fifteen years. If your crown has been damaged or is missing, we can repair it.
  • Fillings. These are used to protect a tooth that has been affected by a cavity and needs additional care. When a filling is put in, the decayed tooth material will be removed and replaced with the chosen filling material. They can be metal or white, depending on the preferences of each patient.
  • Jaw and Gum Pain Relief. If you are experiencing pain in your gums, it may be a sign that there is an infection or issue deeper in the tissue. Swelling in your jawbone may indicate an injury or infection that could impact your entire jaw. The team at Pulse Dental will work with you to determine the cause of your pain or swelling and give you the care you need.

Preventing Emergency Dental Care

Some dental emergencies, such as accidents that break teeth or crowns that fall off, cannot be avoided. When you experience these things, it is important to find an experienced dentist that can help so you can return to your life with minimal frustration and pain as quickly as possible.

While receiving emergency dental care is important, you can prevent the need for it by maintaining your oral health. Consistently brushing and flossing your teeth on a daily basis can help keep your mouth and teeth healthy. Visiting a general or family dentist at least once every six months is also important. Those visits allow your dentist to professionally clean your teeth while also checking for anything that could be a larger problem, so you can avoid costly emergency care in the future.
