Dr. Lassegue is such a thorough and wonderful dentist. She took her time in the examination and gave me great insight on how I can take steps to improve my dental health. So happy to have found her and this office- great modern space!!

Andrea Nunez

Great dentist practice! Dr. Lassegue is so nice and funny, and she really puts people at ease. The office also really lives up to its name, as you can tell it was recently renovated. And it’s Black-owned, which is awesome. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist in the Queens area.

Joe Marshall

Dr Circe Lassegue was absolutely amazing, I can't brag about her enough. What a great visit. If I live closer she would be my new dentist.

Emergency Dental Services Available at Queens Modern Dental Suite

Dr. Lasseque and the professionals at our office can address many different dental emergencies. Dental damage can happen from grinding, biting into something too hard, accidental falls, or decay over time.

We suggest that if you are experiencing any pain or discomfort, or you can visually see something wrong, it is better to be cautious. Early care is ideal for minimizing any pain associated with the problem and to keep it from getting worse. Our emergency services include:

  • Root canal therapy. Your roots have an important role to play in your dental health. Roots can become blocked or disconnected from the tooth. This can cause a tooth to slowly die. A root canal can re-establish this connection, preserving your natural tooth.
  • Extractions. When a root canal is not an option, an extraction may be necessary. Removing a tooth is often the best decision if the tooth has become significantly damaged. A tooth that is badly damaged often causes persistent pain. Removing that tooth can provide immediate relief.
  • Toothache relief. Many patients don't realize that a toothache is rarely a solo concern. It is often part of a large dental concern that can be missed by the naked eye. Toothaches can often start as minor inconveniences that are experienced randomly. However, toothaches can often progress to dull aches that can persist almost constantly.
  • Gum tenderness. Tenderness can be a warning sign of an underlying issue. It is important to have a full examination, including an X-ray to determine the true cause of the gum tenderness. This helps to prevent the issue from becoming worse.
  • Infection detection. An oral infection can leave you feeling sick and unable to eat or drink comfortably. You may also notice unpleasant smells or tastes. Another warning sign is any swelling in your lower face. This can be an indication that infection has spread along your jaw bone and within the surrounding tissue. Infections can be caused by several different dental concerns. We will be able to assess the cause, providing the relief you need.
  • Filling or crown repair. Fillings or crowns are popular dental restoration materials used on teeth that have required previous work. They are intended to last, but they can become loose over time, often due to the protected tooth experiencing further decay or damage. It is important to have these materials repaired or replaced quickly if they become loose or fall out completely.
  • Cracks, chips, and avulsions. Teeth are strong, but they can still be damaged. Any form of damage should be taken seriously, though avulsions can often be the worst. This is when a tooth becomes completely dislodged, often resulting from a serious blow to the face, mouth, or jaw. It is important to have the damage examined to make sure other areas of your mouth haven't been affected as well.

Ways to Avoid Needing Emergency Care

There is always the element of the unexpected, but many dental emergencies are preventable. A lot of the dental emergency services we provide involve dental issues caused by decay. Decay and structural integrity issues can be the result of a lack of consistent care. You can avoid many dental emergency situations by caring for your teeth consistently, such as brushing and flossing regularly.

In addition to your own dental cleaning, it is beneficial to visit our office every six months for professional care. This allows us to maintain a detailed record of your dental health and to catch smaller concerns before they can reach emergency level.
