Great staff! Great experience! Laura, Alex, Danielle, and Julieta were super accommodating and friendly. The Dr. does everything he can to make sure his patients are comfortable and informed about the procedures he is performing. A great local business that deserves much credit for their exceptional customer service and patient care. I am very glad I found a new dentist I can trust. Will recommend to friends and family!

My Hygienist and Dentist were clearly very well educated. The front desk staff was professional and knowledgeable. The office was clean and oraganized. I wanted to come into the office as a regular patient without informing them of my past career as a dental assistant for 38 yrs. because I did not want to be treated any differently nor my family, I highly recommend St. Lucie Center for Cosmetic Dentistry for all your dental care needs.

I found a new Dentist. He and the staff are awesome..

Dental emergencies are most often due to toothache or abscessed tooth and can be caused by a variety of different implications. Dental emergencies can become more serious and even life-threatening if left untreated for too long. If not treated promptly, the pain will worsen, and more serious complications can arise. Dr. Almanzar offers a wide range of services, including emergency appointments available within 24 hours. St. Lucie Center for Cosmetic Dentistry offers emergency dental services 24/7.

Dental emergencies are a serious concern for anyone and can happen at any time. From a knocked-out tooth to a dental abscess, many oral health concerns require emergency attention. If you or a loved one is experiencing dental pain or discomfort in St. Lucie, call our team and get answers to your dental emergency questions, as well as a same-day appointment.

All Patients Welcome

If you find yourself in need of emergency dental services, we want you to feel welcome at our office, even if you aren't a current patient. Even if you don't already have a dentist, and even if you do, we welcome you to experience our practice in hopes you'll become a regular patient. We want to ease your fear and get you feeling better by restoring your dental health as quickly and as stress-free as possible.

Dr. Almanzar and his team will do everything possible to make sure you are comfortable and knowledgeable about all the recommended procedures necessary to treat your dental condition. He is experienced in emergency dental procedures and can offer you comprehensive and full-service care.

Emergency Dental Services Offered

Dental emergencies can include toothaches, injuries to the mouth or jaw, cavities, or broken teeth that need to be treated quickly, as well as a variety of other issues. Dr. Almanzar can assess you and diagnose your issue, as well as recommend and perform the necessary dental emergency services to restore your comfort.

We offer the following emergency dental services:

  • Toothache—You never know when a dental emergency is going to come up, and unfortunately, tooth pain is often a dental emergency. If your tooth has been hurting for days or weeks, and it isn't going away, it's time to seek help to relieve your pain and hopefully save your tooth. We will take x-rays to assess the damage and determine what course of action to take next.
  • Root Canal—Sometimes, a simple toothache can be a sign of something bigger going on beneath the surface. If pain persists or if an infection develops in the tooth, a root canal may be necessary to remove the infected tissue from the nerve of the tooth. A root canal is a type of dental surgery where the pulp of the tooth is removed and replaced with an artificial filling called a root canal filling.
  • Extraction— If a tooth is badly infected, a root canal may not be an option, and it will need to be extracted as soon as possible to prevent further complications. Emergency dental extractions will relieve any pain or infection in the tooth and shorten recovery time by removing the tooth in its entirety.
  • Dental Crown— A dental crown is a type of dental restoration that replaces all or part of a tooth's original shape and function with an artificial material that resembles the tooth's natural form. Dental crowns are often necessary for teeth following root canal treatment or where there is a high risk of future tooth decay. Dr. Almanzar can also replace a dental crown that has fallen off, which is a common emergency dental service needed by our patients.
  • Dental Trauma—Traumatic injuries to the mouth or jaw are common dental emergencies because when dental trauma occurs, timing is crucial. The quicker these types of dental emergencies are treated, the easier the restoration will be.
  • Dental Implants— Emergency dental implants can be necessary for various reasons, such as after a severe injury to the mouth or following the loss of multiple teeth at once. If necessary, Dr. Almanzar will discuss the emergency dental implant procedure as well as address any concerns you may have.

Preventing Dental Emergencies

It is so important to take care of your teeth and gums to avoid serious dental emergencies. It is recommended to brush at least twice a day with toothpaste that has fluoride in it and floss every day to prevent these emergencies. If you do not currently have a regular dentist, speak with Dr. Almanzar's professional staff to set up routine appointments following your emergency dental appointment to prevent having to experience another emergency later. In addition, it is a good idea to see a dentist at least twice per year for cleanings and checkups. These habits will not only improve your dental health but also have an impact on your overall physical health as well.
