Dr. Adly and his staff are amazing! Very welcoming and professional. I went here after a previous dentist failed me and I was very well taken care of! I highly recommend Monmouth Dental Arts!

Christopher Yanchus

Wonderful 1st visit to the office. I’ve known Dr. Adly for 3 years, but this was my first visit to his own office. The doctor, as always, was incredibly professional and caring, but his staff was the same as well. Office is incredibly clean and the visit was seamless. I had scheduled a visit two weeks out and staff immediately called with a cancel to fit me in sooner. My whole family will be returning for care.

Emergency Dental Services in Oakhurst, NJ

Dental emergencies don't wait for an appropriate time to strike. You may be away from home or otherwise unable to make it to the dentist. Or your dentist might be the one with a packed schedule and no time to spare. You'll rarely be anticipating it, and it can ruin whatever plans you may have had due to the constant pain and threat of getting worse. Luckily, if this happens to you, there's no need to suffer or mask your problems with painkillers. Our emergency dental services are always available to you. If you live in Oakhurst, NJ, Dr. Andrew Adly is here to help.

Each Patient is Equally Welcome

At our offices, we strive to make sure that every patient feels welcomed and respected. It doesn't matter if you've been using our services for years or have only just discovered us. We want you to walk away with a smile, not just because you got your teeth repaired but because you had a stress-free time working with us.

A Variety of Emergency Dental Services Available

Dental emergencies cover a wide range of problems and severities. Some may not seem as dangerous as others, and you may even question whether some of them could be classified as an emergency. The subtler issues are quite tricky because most patients attempt to wait for them to resolve on their own. But more often than not, this fails to happen, and the situation becomes more difficult to endure. Dr. Andrew Adly and the team at Monmouth Dental Arts are here to help with whatever dental emergency you may be suffering from, such as:

  • Pain in your gums: While already bad enough due to the pain, gum issues are often the symptom of a larger bacterial infection. If not stopped, this infection can spread elsewhere in the mouth and gums, prolonging the pain and making the problem even harder to deal with. Our team will pinpoint the cause of the pain and stop it before it gets worse.
  • Toothaches: Regardless of whether the ache is caused by food, decay, or an injury of some sort, toothaches are infamous for being one of the most disruptive dental situations. While it may help in the short term to alleviate them with painkillers, that won't stop the problem from sticking around and getting worse. Instead, trust your dentist to help you out.
  • Jaw inflammation: If your jaw gets infected, it will usually start to swell up. This may not seem like much, but it's a sign of something serious. The infection can also spread to the surrounding tissue and gums, which means your entire dental system could be affected if the issue isn't stopped. Trust Dr. Andrew Adly to clean out the infected area for you before the infection intensifies.
  • Tooth damage: Teeth, much like all bones, can break or fracture when exposed to enough force. From chipping your tooth on a difficult piece of food to suffering from a large crack after an injury, all damages may be worse than they first appear. A broken tooth offers bacteria additional surface area to set in and grow into caries. It's best to see a dentist right away to repair the damage quickly.
  • Missing fillings or crowns: Crowns and fillings serve very similar roles of keeping teeth safe from further harm and decay. So, when they fall out, it tends to be a painful and disturbing experience, especially as cavities become re-exposed to bacteria. If this happens to you, our team can clear out the damage and replace them for you.
  • Lost tooth: Losing teeth is a painful and often upsetting experience. In addition to leaving behind a visual change and forcing you to readjust to a different bite, the socket will be exposed to the bacteria and damage it was originally shielded from. Even in the best-case scenario, there's going to be a cleanup needed to make sure the area is healthy and safe. Another reason for a lost tooth is if you have severe decay that will render it unsavable. In this case, your dentist will perform an extraction. Trust Dr. Andrew Adly to protect the exposed area, perform a skilled extraction, and offer you a replacement.
  • Root canal: Root canals are painful, but they're also necessary to stop deep decay. If you must go in for a root canal, you can trust our team to make the process as quick and painless as possible for you.

Avoiding a Dental Emergency

It's always a good idea to know who to see if you need immediate dental assistance. But it's an even better idea to take care of your teeth ahead of time and lower the odds of a dental emergency happening at all. By brushing right, flossing regularly, keeping an eye on the foods you eat, and calling your normal dentist regularly, you can maximize your chances of rarely having to deal with a serious dental issue.
