Arrived in town for vacation with an abscess. We have a friend in the area who recommended the practice after his positive experience. Dr. Wood fit me in immediately, already over and beyond since they don’t know me and I had no doctor referral. I have had extensive dental work in my life and am very particular when it comes to my teeth. Dr. Wood is simply awesome! She took her time, did a fantastic job, and made me feel like family. Her entire team is truly wonderful. I would give her 10 stars if I could.

Dr Allen and her team are simply fantastic! Friendly, professional, and caring, I have been their patient 3x now, and everything has always gone very well. I highly recommend this group of professionals!

Sarah Tucker

My appointment was excellent! The dentist was nice along with the entire staff! I could not have dreamed up a better experience. Thanks so much for scheduling me so soon. I’m feeling better already! Looking forward to my next appointment in a few weeks. It was very minimal pain. 5 star experience.

We want our patients to feel at ease throughout their office visit.

Emergency Services Offered

At Phoenix Endodontic Group, we offer a wide range of dental emergency services to ensure we can meet all of our patient's needs. These services include:

  • Toothache resolution - What could start as a minor inconvenience can soon turn into a major issue if left unattended. Dr. Allen will assess the real source of your toothache and quickly get you on the path of healing.
  • Gum tenderness resolution - Tenderness or even bleeding of the gums can be a sign that immediate attention is needed. When these happen, there are often issues within the deeper tissue of the gum that needs to be addressed
  • Dental Repair- While teeth are exceptionally strong, they can still get damaged in many ways. Teeth can become chipped, cracked, broken, or even completely knocked out. Proper treatment will vary depending on the severity of the damage. Since nerves, tissue, and blood vessels can also be damaged—especially with a knocked-out tooth—it is important to have Dr. Allen take a look.
  • Jaw swelling resolution - If you notice tenderness or swelling around your jaw, it is important to make an appointment with Phoenix Endodontic Group as quickly as possible. This is often due to an infection along the jaw bone and surrounding tissue.
  • Root Canal Therapy - Protecting your natural teeth is a top priority. A root canal is often necessary to avoid the need for an extraction. This procedure is often used for teeth that have required repeat fillings or crowns, or if there is root damage or dental decay.
  • Extraction resolution - When a tooth can longer be saved through a root canal or similar procedure, an extraction often becomes the next best option. This procedure is often done with a tooth that has severe damage or decay that could be infected. To protect other teeth from infection and to alleviate pain, the tooth is removed.
  • Missing filling or crown resolution - Fillings and crowns shouldn't fall out, but they can. This can be a sign that further decay is happening with the tooth, especially when it comes to a crown since those are custom-fitted. When you lose a filling or crown, simple day-to-day tasks such as eating or drinking can become painful. When left unrepaired, the tooth can experience further decay, so it is crucial to have these replaced as soon as possible.

Ways to Prevent Dental Emergencies

When it comes to preventing dental emergencies, there are a few basic steps you can take. At Phoenix Endodontic Group, we understand that not all dental emergencies are unavoidable, but we do know many are preventable. Proper oral hygiene at home is a great first step. Another important step is maintaining regular cleanings and checkups. It is recommended that you see a dentist every six months. This allows Dr. Allen to have a clearer picture of your overall dental health. This record will allow her to spot any changes that could be a sign of trouble ahead.
