Doctor Bio

Dr. Lund grew up in a small town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. After assisting in his father’s dental practice as a teenager, he branched away from dentistry to seek his own path, unaware he would soon be led back to the field his father devoted his life to. He graduated from the University of Nevada Reno with a bachelor degree in Anthropology and minor in Archeology. Working as an archaeologist directly after his undergraduate training, he excavated, mitigated, and cataloged several significant archaeological sites. He received the highest possible certification as a ski coach and became a licensed sports massage therapist. The skills he learned as an archaeologist, ski coach, and massage therapist were carried through his education at Oregon Health & Science University, where he received a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Dr. Lund is an active member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Multnomah Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. He is trained in the latest technology available and is always seeking further advancement through continuing education courses.

Emergency Dental Services in Portland, OR

While there are physicians who can assist you with your health emergency in the emergency room, they are not trained to specifically address dental emergencies. At best, you may receive triage and some temporary pain relief, but ER doctors don’t have the knowledge to provide you with a permanent treatment solution for dental problems. You will need to be examined in a dentist's office to receive the expert care you require.

If you live in Portland, OR, or the surrounding area, you can trust Dr. Owen Lund and the staff at Columbia River Dentistry.

We have the dental knowledge and care expertise to treat your emergency issue and provide a permanent solution for pain relief. Let our team assist you in your time of need so that you don’t have to stress about how to get your dental issue fixed. Dr. Lund and the Columbia River staff are the capable specialists you can trust in any dental emergency situation.

All Patients Are Accepted at Columbia River Dentistry

No one ever wants to dial the dentist for an emergency appointment, but sometimes there is an urgent reason why that call must be made. Your health and safety are important, so if you need to be seen for a pressing dental issue, it is better to make your call sooner than later. The team at Columbia River Dentistry is available to answer urgent calls any time of day.

Avoiding the Need for Emergency Dental Care

If you are an athlete or otherwise extremely active, be sure to wear proper safety gear. Protecting your teeth and gums can save you a trip to the dentist if you happen to fall or experience a sudden blow to the face. By wearing protective gear, you can prevent the most common types of tooth damage that results from high-intensity activities. If you should happen to injure your mouth and need an emergency appointment, please call as soon as you can so that we can examine the damage and get you the best outcome possible.

Contact Our Office for Emergency Care

Regular everyday folks can also have emergency needs that require a visit to a dentist for treatment. In these cases, we recommend that you also contact our office as soon as you possibly can to avoid your dental pain from becoming worse. Prompt treatment is best with dental problems because your teeth and gums are very sensitive and can become infected if you do not get care quickly enough.

Dr. Lund and the Columbia River Dentistry team have made it extremely convenient for you to reach the office in an emergency. Day or night, a member of the staff can provide you with assistance in making an appointment to be treated for dental problems. Pick up the phone and call us whenever you need emergency service.
