After seeing many dentists and dental hygienists over the years I can honestly say my experience at Marietta Roswell Dental Care had been top tier. The staff listens and cares for their patients rather than judging. Their main concern is the safety and comfort of their patients through any type of appointment. I strongly strongly recommend Dr. K to anyone seeking a dentist to ease the typical anxiety associated with dental work.

Emergency Dental Services Available

Dental emergencies can happen quickly or gradually. They can be caused by an accident, decay, or other unexpected complications. Due to the variety of concerns, we provide a wide range of services to meet your needs. When you schedule an appointment with us, our experienced team will evaluate your current condition including your pain level. We will then determine what service is best for your dental care. Our services include:

  • Gum discomfort. Your gums are a vital component of your overall dental health. If you notice any discomfort, discoloring, or pain, it is important to schedule an appointment at Marietta Roswell Dental Care as soon as possible. This is often a sign of a larger issue in the underlying tissue of the gums. Only a dental professional will be able to accurately determine the cause of the discomfort.
  • Toothaches. Experiencing a toothache may just start as an inconvenience, but it will likely get worse over time. You may be able to purchase over-the-counter topical treatments that provide temporary relief. However, this is not a permanent solution. Toothaches often get worse due to underlying issues. It is important to take care of toothaches as soon as you notice them.
  • Avulsed tooth. An unintentional blow to the face can cause damage to your teeth. This is a common occurrence for those who participate in high-contact sports. An avulsed tooth is also referred to as a knockout. This is when a tooth becomes completely dislodged. In some cases, we will be able to restore the natural tooth. Even if we can't, it is necessary to have the area examined to ensure no damage to the root, gums, or blood vessels has occurred. Other tooth damage includes breaks, chips, and cracks. While these may not be as severe, it is still important to receive proper care.
  • Root canal therapy. This is a common procedure that has become easier over time. It helps to revive a root that may have become blocked, which can lead to a tooth dying. This procedure helps to re-establish that connection and save the natural tooth. This procedure is often suggested if you've already needed multiple fillings or crowns on that tooth.
  • Extractions. A tooth that is experiencing decay can become painful and start interfering with your everyday life. A decaying tooth can also create a significant risk factor for developing an infection that can spread to other teeth. If a tooth is severely damaged, an extraction procedure might be your best option. This is a procedure where the damaged tooth is carefully removed. You'll likely experience immediate pain relief following this service.
  • Filling or crown loss. Most individuals receive a filling or crown at some point in their lives. These are commonly placed in teeth that have required some type of dental work due to decay or damage. Over time, these devices can become loose or fall out completely. They must be replaced as soon as possible to prevent any further damage from affecting the health of the tooth.
  • Jaw swelling. Infections can spread under the surface of your teeth, making them difficult to detect. If you notice jaw swelling, you should call our office immediately. This could be a sign of infection spreading along your jawbone and surrounding tissue.

Preventing Dental Emergencies

Proper dental care can help you avoid the majority of dental emergencies. This starts at home with a routine of brushing and flossing. Brushing and flossing help to prevent decay, which is a major aspect of many dental concerns. The next important step is scheduling regular dental cleanings with our office. Having your teeth cleaned twice a year can help catch minor issues before they can become major concerns. This also helps us to keep track of your oral health.
