Not only does Carrollwood Smiles treat adult patients, we also offer pediatric services. In selecting an emergency pediatric dentist, it’s essential that you go to an office that has experience working with children. At Carrollwood Smiles, we have treated many pediatric patients and aim to make the experience as kid-friendly as possible.
Both adult and pediatric patients can request sedation during their dental treatment. We want our patients to be relaxed and comfortable while we treat them—that’s why we provide nitrous oxide sedation to those who benefit from it.
Every once in a while, we’re all bound to face a dental emergency that we weren’t expecting. Even so, there are many ways that we can reduce our risk of encountering an emergency. Preventative care is important when it comes to keeping your teeth healthy and protected, whether or not there’s an emergency at hand.
Carrollwood Smiles encourages those in the Tampa area to come to us for routine cleanings. When you receive a cleaning every six months, your dentist can monitor any concerns they have about your teeth. It also allows for early intervention if any issues develop. This way, problems can be treated before you require emergency services.
If you play sports, then there are additional measures you can take to prevent dental emergencies. In particular, it’s often a good idea to wear a custom-fit mouth guard while playing contact sports or similar kinds of physical activities.
